is a coastal town of northwestern Crete and capital of the prefecture of Chania. It is one of the oldest cities in Crete, with a rich history.

Chania is also one of the two places most likely to see when you arrive in Crete. The largest part of Chania is concentrated in the nearby beautiful harbor with old buildings, museums, churches and crafts with interesting local products.
